저만의 영어에세이 쓰는 노하우를 알려드리죠
별로 관심은 끌지 못하겠지만 그래도 제가 아는만큼 알려드리겠습니다
지식은 공유해야 빛나는 법이잖아요--

1.똑같은 단어를 쓰지 말자
  똑같은 단어를 계속 쓰는 것은 '난 어휘력이 부족합니다'란 사실을
  널리 선전포고하는 꼴이 됩니다.
  그렇다고 어려운 단어만 골라 쓰는 습관도 좋지 않지만
  우선 기억해야 할 것은, 똑같은 단어를 계속 쓴다면 보기 지겹단 사실입니다.
  예를 들어 but이란 뜻의 단어를 계속 쓰고 싶다면 다음과 같은 단어를 활용할 수 있습니다.
  ex)but, however, still, though, nevertheless, though, although
 주의: 이것들은 모두 문맥상 위치라든가 하는 것들이 다릅니다.
         그저 뜻이 그러나/그렇지만 이기는 하긴 하지만 주의하세요.

2.쓰고나서 독자가 된 기분으로 읽어보자
  읽는이가 되어서 내가 쓴 글을 읽어봅니다.
  읽다가 발견하는 문법실수들은 '기억해 뒀다가 조금 후 고쳐야지'
  생각지 말고 발견 즉시 고칩니다. 그리고 처음부터 다시 읽습니다.
  그때 막 발견한 실수를 또 했을 수도 있으니까요.
  계속 처음부터 읽다보면 읽기가 싫어질 수도 있겠죠.
  그렇다면 '다음부터는 실수하지 않고 잘해야지'라는 생각이 들지 않겠습니까.

3.문법적인 실수만 있는 게 아니다
   문법적으로 완벽히 맞다고 해도, 글에는 문맥적 실수가 있습니다.
   문맥적 실수는 국어로부터 나옵니다.
   예를 굳이 들어 보자면, 'Friendship is important'
   라는 주장을 설명하고 있는 에세이라고 합시다.
   그렇다면 먼저 자신의 경험들을 예로 들 수 있겠죠.
   '나는 내 친구 00이를 통해서 우정이 얼마나 아름다운지를 배웠습니다'
    라는 걸 설명하고 있었는데 갑자기 뜬금없이
    '우정보다 돈을 더 소중히 여기는 건 좋지 않습니다'라는 말이 나온다면
    그건 중요한 실수겠지요.
    물론 앞에, 우정을 무시하고 돈을 선택한 사람의 사례를 말했다면
    이것은 그리 이상한 일이 아닙니다.
    하지만 그러지 않았다면 그것은 고쳐야만 합니다.
    읽어보며 속으로 해석해 봅시다.
    앞에 놓인 글은 영어지만 여러분은 그걸 한글로 읽어 보는 거지요.
    그럼 문맥적인 실수를 잘 알 수 있을 수 있게 되겠죠?

4.영어는 한글과 다르다
   물론 영어는 한글과 다릅니다. 방법들도 많이 다르죠.
   하지만 그런 걸 일컫는 게 아닙니다.
   한글로 된 해석을 그대로 영어로 옮기는 건 곤란합니다.
   주어진 한글은 답을 최대한 자연스럽게 옮겼다는 사실을 우린 알아야 합니다.
   다시 말해서, 답을 그대로 옮긴 게 한글이 아니므로
   우리 또한 다르게 옮기기 위한 시도를 해 보아야 합니다.
   예를 들어 보이기에는 좀 어설픈 문제네요.

"I hope so, too. But, this will be very hard fighting for her."

"Also I worry it, but we can't do anything. So I decided to think 'good luck' for her. You know, that's all what can we do."

"Right.."

Hedia. She's a nice girl, a bold girl. I always thought Hedia is very, very strong. Even though she was looked like stupid, she wasn't. So I believed her.

But Bean Vonuyee said same thing, again and again. Because of that, I felt mad to her, but I didn't shout. If I shouted there, I couldn't believe her anymore. So I explained my think to her quietly.. But I wanted to yell!

Ah, fortunately, Vonuyee didn't tell anymore about her worrying. I didn't feel bad anymore. But I knew, she's still worrying her. However, what's matter for me? I didn't worry. Even though my friend was afraid, I wasn't! I just knew my friend's fear. that was all. I didn't feel more emotion.

"Sorry to say this, but Anna, don't be mad to me. Understand me, please. Listen, I know Hedia isn't weak, but Anna, weakness and this problem don't have any relationship. Don't you think so? Hey, answer to your own mind. You're saying like that, but don't you worry her? Never? I don't want your answer, just, this is for your own mind."

I closed my eyes.. My real mind was worrying Gana Hedia. I understood my real mind, but I couldn't say that to Vonuyee.

A-ha, I decided to think that problem once more. First..

There was a teacher, Terry Fidden. He didn't think good for Hedia. But Hedia didn't know how can hate a person. She was too kind to think that. And everyone thought that Hedia is better than Terry. Terry didn't treat good for students and other people, but Hedia was a nice teacher.

Vonuyee and I saw everything from the first meet. Terry said Hedia to, "I can't understand how could you be a teacher. I don't want to work with you, you're too stupid to work with me."

But Hedia just smiled. Not because of she's stupid, but because of she's too kind. Then Terry Fidden thought Hedia is a stupid guy.

Once we said to her, "do you remember Terry's saying at our first meet?"

"Of course, I didn't forget it."

"Don't you feel mad? Why didn't you say him, "You too!" then? Can I ask it?"

"Uhm, my parents said, "always forgive someone. Forgiving is not for others, that's for you. When you got mad, don't yell, just forgive. Sometimes it looks like stupid, but it's not true. Don't think untrue things to seriousness, Hedia." I just acted it. Problem?"

We couldn't say anything. And we tried to make Terry to think once more and make to apologize for Hedia. That was our mistake.

"Is there, professor Terry?"

"Of course, here. Come in."

"Do you remember what did you say to Hedia at our first meet?"

"Yeah. I said her to stupid then."

"We think you must apologize for her!"

"Oh, I see. did Hedia asked for you two, to say to me like that? But send my message for her. I don't want to tell 'sorry' to her! Because that's true! Don't follow her asking! She's a stupid guy."

"No! She didn't ask us, it's our think. You said very serious thing to her."

"If she doesn't think so, why do you say that? She doesn't want it! A-ha, I learned from you something, you two are stupid guys, too!"

Then Terry went to Hedia.

"Hey, Gana Hedia, did you ask something to someone?"

"Yeah, right now, I asked to Jewel to bring me a cup of coffee. Do you need a cup of coffee too? No problem."

"Nope! did you ask someone to ask me to something?"

"Yeah, right now. I asked to Benet to say you, 'your next class is at 4th class.' Why? Didn't she say you? Sorry, but I said you, no problem, too!"

"Nope!"

Terry saw me, we said him with no sound,

'We said you! Hedia didn't ask anything, Terry!'

He understood our meaning. But he still yelled Hedia, and he suggested something.

"Let's have a contest. If my class is better than your class, you must go out from this school. Then If mine was worse than yours, I'll go out, OK?"

"I think I understand. But I'm not very sure. Can you say again?"

"Do you have ears? Really stupid-"

"Of course I have two ears, do you want to see it? Here are they-"

"THAT'S NOT! Anyway, our contest began. Prepare, hurry!"

We explained her everything. But she didn't yell. She said,

"Uhm, sorry to hear that. The way is just one! Let's prepare that."

"But, but who can give the value?"

"I guess students will score it. Because they will listen your address. So, what's your subject?"

We consider her class to prepare. Then Vonuyee suggested something.

"Listen me please. How about it? First, prepare the explainer of Hedia's class. When students can't understand something, They can see that paper. And they can understand very well. Think, don't they think 'which made me to understand it better?'? So if you give them explainer, they can understand it well."

"Good suggestion. And if it's not good idea, there is no idea. We can't just waste time, so we must do that."

"Right. I will make my explainer right now. First I'll find my guide book."

"But we missed something. We don't know when is it. I'll ask Terry. Wait me here, please."

"No, don't go. Listen, he did every information himself. How do you think it so? We couldn't decide anything. This time, this is our turn to decide it. Wait, if we don't ask him, he will ask us. Just prepare it now."

"Great."

I said like that, but I couldn't tell them to real my mind, 'but he can make schedules himself. If we really want to decide ourselves, we must tell him first. If he tell his schedules to us first and we don't follow that, that means we didn't keep our promise.'. Anyway they made explainer.

"First suggestion is solved nicely! Then next, nobody has suggestion? Anything OK."

But there were no sound. I couldn't endure it.

"Hear me, clearly! We must go to Terry first, if we really want to decide ourselves! If he tell his mind first, and we don't answer, it looks agreeing. And then we don't follow his saying, that means we didn't obey our promise, understand?"

"That's not wrong, but-"

Then, Terry came and said.

"A-ha, you're preparing. the contest will be tomorrow 3rd class. Bye."

He didn't say more, and we didn't too. My mind was fighting with madness. When he's gone, I yelled loudly.

"Hey, you two! Next time, if there is a suggestion, let's do it right then! We missed our chance!"

"Sorry, guy."

안녕하세요.. 그냥 한글2002에서 써오고 있는 영어 소설인데요..

문법적인 실수들이나 아님 어색한 구문들, 빼도 되는 문장들이 꽤 있을 것 같네요.

영어 잘하는 분들!! 그런것 좀 고쳐 주세요!!
좀 길고 재미없어서 읽기 힘드시더라도, 좀 고쳐 주세요.
